Eric performs at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park


On August 8, 2016, Eric opens the Hawaii International Music Festival that he co-founded with Amy Shoremount-Obra with a tribute to Hawaii, its people, and the 100th anniversary of Volcanoes National Park and the U. S. National Park Service with multiple performances at 4000 feet in Volcanoes National Park.

The following is the festival performance schedule:

Debut Album


Eric has recorded the Brahms Violin Sonata No 3 in D minor, Op 108 and the Fauré Violin Sonata No 1 in A major, Op. 13 with pianist Kwan Yi and Grammy Award Winning Engineer Adam Abeshouse. The recording will be released this fall!

Eric and Maestro Vladimir Ashkenazy rehearsing Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 with the Philharmonia Orchestra in UK


The concert on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at De Montfort Hall in Leicester, and the concert on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Royal Festival Hall in London were originally to have been conducted by Maestro Lorin Maazel, who sadly passed away in July 2014. The repertoire remains almost exactly as he programmed it.

Maestro Lorin Maazel - A Wonderful Mentor


I wanted to write something about a wonderful mentor, friend, supporter, and inspiration. 
Maestro Maazel founded the Castleton Festival, which is where I met him. He once told me, “always remain humble, our friendship depends on it.” In front of the music, he was extremely humble and always dedicated to achieving the highest standards possible.

Review: Castleton Chamber Players’ stellar launch of the 2014 festival


At the intimate Castleton Theater, tucked into a flowering rural hillside, violinist Eric Silberger, cellist Daniel Lelchuk and pianist Bradley Moore performed three contrasting chamber music pieces and demonstrated not only mastery of their instruments but how eye contact, body language, attitude and cues can elevate the music to a higher realm of art. They are proof that one of the great pleasures of live performance is watching musicians interact.

Violinist Eric Silberger has made history by playing the violin inside Iceland's Thrihnukagigur volcano


The US violinist played a Bach chaconne inside the volcano on Friday morning, making his performance the first one inside the dormant Thrihnukagigur and possibly the first inside any volcano.

Before the day of the performance, Silberger commented: "I look forward to playing in one of nature's most amazing wonders and I expect it will have amazing acoustics as well. This will be the first time a violinist has performed there in history, and is probably the first musical performance ever to take place inside a volcano."
